Flash flood

I recently traveled to my hometown, Davao, to check on my Dad. He suffers from Progressive Supra-nuclear Palsy. A couple of days before, part of the city were struck by a flash flood that claimed a lot of lives. Vehicles were overturned, houses damaged due to an event likely related to deforestation. If you were trapped in a truck as the swollen river raged on one of the thoughts that would race your mind would be " where do I buy a satellite radio for my truck?" or something related to two way communication. It's just nasty when nature goes out of control because of our negligence to take care to it.
