This weekend, the family was busy with pictorials for the kids' upcoming ballet recital. Tes was specially busy because she is responsible for the souvenir program lay-outs. (This is on top our responsibility to ensure that our kids are ready for the photo session.) Her major concern for the moment is the amount of photo editing she will need to do before she will be able to do lay-outs. She noticed that the photos from the 1st day were washed out with light. This led to some pictures were legs or costumes blended with the backdrop! The set-up was a 3 point strobe setting. ( What would have happed if they used led lights instead?) The second day had way better lighting. 4 sources were used and a 5th flash was used to fill in some shadows in some poses. Photos on this day had different, fashion portfolio type look. I guess there's much art in designing the ligthing systems as there is in operating the camera.

Achy Brakey Me
Posted on 1:32 PM by Tes Tirol
The last few days were so jampacked for me. I got to do my first photo shoot at the CCP for a ballet show and I was so thrilled. Being a ballet show, I knew that I needed to really move fast and run back and forth to get the dance shots I wanted. And so I did. The bad part is I didn't do any warm ups before the shoot and now I'm so achy all over. :( Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. LOL I wonder if these massage therapy schools teach a massage technique that I can use at home next time my muscles go achy brakey on me. hmmm...

I was hoping to improve my Lakbayan grade last year, I'm not sure if I did.
Oh well even if I didn't, I did get the chance to visit some awesome places
and take some memorable pictures to fill my albums. Maybe I'll do better
this year.
My Lakbayan grade is C!
How much of the Philippines have you visited? Find out at Lakbayan!

last year. TTFN!

Something old, something new
Posted on 9:17 PM by Tes Tirol
We just got back recently from our trip to Davao where we spent the holidays with my IL's. It was a much needed break from the busy city life. We had a chance to go to hubby's property in Maragusan right next to the amazing Tagbibinta Falls (pics to follow in future blogs). Overall, it was a great trip and the only casualty was my waistline. (lol) Thank God for prayer and fasting week!
Since we've been away for quite a while when we got back I had a lot of cleaning and catching up to do with chores and bills and since we didn't have any internet access there, I had tons of emails to go through and I decided to update this little bloggie a bit. It still looks a bit like the old but with a bit more room to streamline my stuff.
Here's one of the shots at the falls I took with our OLY:
