Dream Getaway - Branson, Missouri!

I know, I know... we all just came from an extended Christmas holiday vacation and we're barely into the year but summer is just 15 weeks away (well for us in Asia Pacific anyway) so skip Valentine's and dream about summer this early, eh?

For those of you who have done the California and Florida theme park rounds every summer, why not try something new. Check out Branson, Missouri for a change. Branson is dubbed as the Live Music Capital of the World, host to the famous world performers Oak Ridge Boys and Mickey Gilley to name a few.  Branson, Missouri has so much to offer. I was quite surprised to find out one of their landmark attractions was The Titanic Museum. You will find an amazing reproduction of the ship on "76 strip". Imagine going on board and traveling back in time to the Titanic's glory days.

Check out this magnificent reproduction of that Grand Staircase. Simply awesome. I can just imagine Jack (Leo di Caprio) and Rose (Kate Winslet) meeting on the staircase. Sigh. 

Of course, that is just one of the show stoppers there. There are other museums, theme parks, golf courses, outdoor fun like caves, nature parks and so much more. Of course you can also go shopping around or check out one of many the live shows they have. Oh, if only I could go watch this one.

I love to watch Irish Dancing and this one would be a treat to see, I'm sure.

There are lots of great places to stay as well. Condos, great hotels, comfortable inns... so many to choose from. I didn't realize that this little getaway in Missouri had so much to offer it's overwhelming.
