Free Kettlebells

I read about Kettlebells a few months ago and I've found a few good deals that you might be interested in. Kettleworx is throwing in free Kettlebells when you purchase any of their exercise programs on DVD. Depending on the package you choose, you can get a free kettlebell between 5-20 pounds aside from the other freebies included in the set. I have yet to try using kettlebells but I know a good deal when I see one. So if you are into health and fitness or you are fitness instructor and you would like to offer something new to your clients, check out this offer. It might add a little boost to your workout routines. Be healthy, folks!

Laptop hunting

Hubby and I have been scouting around for a laptop and I was surprised that you could easily get one nowadays for less than P30,000 which is so much cheaper than the price of my desktop approximately 2 years ago. What's so cool about it is that the specs are so much better now like for that price, you already have a 1 gig RAM, 120 to 160 gig HD, DVD writer, WIFI enabled and of course with your usual video card, sound card etc. etc. with freebies to boot. Hopefully we can find something that we both agree on soon so we don't have to wrestle over taking turns with this old pc I'm using right now. We need one yesterday!!! lol

Stuck in the City

Yup, we are still stuck in the city. We got extended a few more days and I'm just borrowing a Mac from a friend to do my internet stuff. Hubby and I planned to go home yesterday to unload some of our dirty laundry but unfortunately, we couldn't leave because of certain constraints. Anyway, we found out that the place we are staying at has a washer and dryer so I can scrap the idea of buying cheap lingerie since we can do our laundry after all. So we are heading home tomorrow and we can hopefully get back to our old routines and catch up on my internet to do lists. Until then, we are actually quite pleasantly stuck at the Fraser Place Makati for now.

Artful Blogging Challenge at Bookoto

Bookoto is having a blog makeover challenge over at their blog with lots of yummy magazines as prizes. I'd love to join the challenge but I'm quite happy with this blog's template right now but who knows I just might change the whole look altogether or start a whole new blog altogether just for the challenge. lol Anyway, even if you don't join the challenge you can always browse through their shop - absolutely mouth-watering titles to choose from and the plus factor is that the prices are in pesos so no need to keep converting using the ever fluctuating peso rates. Our family loves books and we could spend a whole day in a bookstore anytime but it's also fun to just do a bit of  'windows' shopping right in your slippers and jammies. :D. Check out Bookoto and support our own Pinoy online bookstore. You might find a new hobby to get addicted to. :)

Finally - Unlocked Cellphones

Isn't if frustrating when your relative from abroad decides to send you the latest cellphone as a gift and you end up not using it because it's locked into the service provider's restrictions. We have a few of those and they end up collecting dust because they couldn't be used.  I just found out today that you can actually buy (or ask your favorite tita or tito to buy :P) an unlocked phone. I'm not a cellphone junkie (I prefer other tech toys :D) but this one caught my eye. it costs a hefty $888.00 which I could use to get a new fully loaded laptop already (yikes!). But if you're into it, you might want to try this little toy out or better yet, tell tita or tito all about it. :P

I love Fully Booked

One of my favorite hang-out spots is the bookstore. Any bookstore for that matter. I just love going through the aisles checking out the latest design or photography books and of course I love checking out the office supplies section. I remember going to Fully Booked at Bonifacio High street and I was amazed at how office supplies have evolved into being hip and trendy. The choices are endless and if you're bored with the same old diary you have lots of designs to choose from. It's amazing! The basement is chock-filled with notebooks, pens and other yummy goodies and  products that are very cutting edge in design and very innovative. I wanted to stay there the whole day and inspect each one of them. lol  I just love Fully Booked!

Cool Gifts for Kids - Another Good Find!

I found this cool site that does personalized gifts especially for kids. I actually like it. Really! I mean, what's more special than receiving  a gift that's been well thought of and one that would make the recipient feel like you've slaved hours and hours just to make it special, eh? If that's your style, check out Personalizedstories.com. They have choices like Dora, Elmo, Sesame Street and a lot of Bible characters too. They also have comics characters from Marvel, DC and more. I personally love the VeggieTales gifts.  Check out the site. You might find something really fun to give as a gift. I would recommend it to anyone. It's definitely a good find!

Diet Pills or Exercise? which one are you?

I have been trying to get back on track when it comes to physical fitness. Although hubby doesn't have a problem with how I look, I often tell him that I need to do it for me and for my own self-esteem. My metabolism has slowed down considerably after giving birth to my last child (which has been 5 years already) and I have been bugging hubby to buy me one of those fat burning pills shown on tv all the time. I have tried taking those protein capsule food supplements like Arginine and Carnitine before and I know that it helped me a lot during my dancing days. My convincing powers aren't strong enough, I guess. Of course, before I took those I read a lot of materials and diet pill reviews to make sure I knew how they would affect my body. If  you are not sure, please do not self-prescribe.

So nowadays, hubby is hooked on this Navy Seals Fitness Training and dead set on making us (myself and the two kids) his "baby" Seals. Thinking about it is already making me tired (whew!). I did tell him once that I wanted to be like Demi Moore when she played G.I. Jane. lol
Of course, I wouldn't go as far as shaving my head you know.  On second thought, it is kinda hot now hmmmm.....

i4 Sites

I found this site that makes it quite easy to bookmark your favorite sites. It's called i4. They have fun links to sites that might interest you. I clicked on the i4kids site and it brings up this window where you can choose between PBS Kids or Mister Rogers for your younger kids or maybe if they're a bit older you can choose between Cartoon Network or Yahooligans. Check it out. You might find it handy if you are in a hurry.

Catch the Wave - Earn from blogging

I've been blogging for quite some time now and so far I've been enjoying it. It's like second wind to my long buried childhood dream - (of course blogging was non-existent back then, silly :D) I wanted to be a journalist. Unfortunately, back then, the old folks would discourage the idealistic young ones from taking "non-earning" careers in favor of the more  lucrative courses that guaranteed you at least a minimum wage income. (ugh!)

So I said goodbye to that dream until like some horror flick where a bony hand sticks itself out from the grave my dream resurrected! Guess what? Say hello to the wonderful world of problogging! That's right, peeps! Now I can  have my cake and eat it too or in other words I can write my head off and earn from it too. Isn't that great? So if you want to learn more about how you can do that look up Bloggerwave.com - a site a I found that will help you get started on how to make money while blogging. Go check it out!

Online Earning How to's

I've had a few friends ask me how to go about starting an online business or how to start earning online. One of the things I tell them especially if they are really serious about it is to research, research and research some more. If you're reading this you probably know a lot more than most people do and maybe you would like to take it a step further and get your very own dot com. There are tons of info available online to help anyone start  but sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming scouring thru the net so I've found  a few sites to help you along the way.

First of all you will need virtual real estate on the web, a place or "address" where people can find you every time and where you will store all those wonderful business ideas you've got stored in your brain. So, you'll need that, and there are a lot of web companies who will let you "lease, rent or occupy" their space for $X dollars  a year or so depending on their package. You can try going to Web Hosting Reviews to find the web company that will best suit your needs. They've got a lot of reviews all in one page so you can compare a bunch of sites all at once. (saves time googling all over). They have a lot of reviews like a Hostgator Review , a Startlogic Review etc. etc. Not only that, they have articles, web tips and so much more for beginners or even those already familiar with the how-to's of online earning.

While you're doing your research on that, you can also start bringing  your "house" together and  start working on the other aspects of your online  business like the look and feel of your site, the products or services that you are offering,  your meme, your payment options, customer support etc. etc. I guess that's a lot to put on your plate for now, so go out and try it first. Don't forget to check back here once in a while. You might find a tip or two to help you out again.
