Visiting Dad

Rean here...

My dad has been in the hospital for the past couple of weeks. He was first admitted for the insertion of a Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastronomy (PEG) tube. This was a response to his having difficulty swallowing due to his Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. The Operation was a success although it revealed a lot of complications due to a couple of months malnutrition. At 87, his healing is quite slow compared to younger folks, he has spent more time in the hospital. The helplessness is frustrating for this man who was a master at diplomacy whether it be in business, in government or between nations. The best testosterone boosters for him would be the moments when his thoughts and words are valued even when his condition makes it difficult to understand.
