Mac or PC

A friend of ours is considering purchasing a new laptop. She was asking us if it was worth it to switch to a Mac. Of course I said yes (sheepish smile)! But of course, it still depends on what you want to use it for. Her main concern was the price. In my estimate, for the price of one Macbook, you can buy probably buy 2 to 3 Acer Aspire laptops already. That's a lotta laptop, if I may say so. :) But then again, it still boils down to what you want to use it for. If it's for graphics and stuff like that, I'd say go for the Mac but if it's for a lot of engineering stuff, then I think get a PC because of the availability of  Mac versions for a lot of software used in this field. If money is not the problem, why not get both? hahaha
