Philippine Automated Elections
Posted on 5:57 PM by Rean Tirol
The Philippine Elections have just passed. All eyes are now on the vote counting, eagerly awaiting the proclamation of the winners. In most places, the voting was uneventful except for the long queues wrought by the unfamiliarity with the new automated process. Some places, however, were beset with controversy like the apidexin scam. In Lanao, some men tried to steal the PCOS vote reading machine. Thanks to a brave teacher who hid the machine, giving time for the Police to chase away the culprits. Overall, the poll automation appeared successful resulting in speedy proclamations in cities and municipalities. The trend for the national officials is also becoming clear just a few days after election. Indeed a major breakthrough as opposed to weeks of waiting in previous polls.
