The other day, as I was driving home after some errands in Makati, I was surprised to find heavy traffic along the expressway. My expectation of a smooth drive all the way to Sta. Rosa was shattered as cars went bumper to bumper at Bicutan. This went on until I found the culprit upon reaching Alabang Hills. Shell Canvas, a distributor of linoleum and drapery fabric, was on FIRE! Several fire trucks were lined up on the East Service road with little success of controlling the blaze. Traffic was also queued on the opposite Northbound lane of SLEX. Thankfully no one was injured in the fire as per the news but a staggering P6M worth of inventory went up in smoke.
