Yesterday, the guest preacher in church preached about adversity. His text was from Daniel 1 relating the exile of Daniel and his friends Shadrach, Meschach and Abed Nego. It was only yesterday that it occurred to me that these four became Eunuchs. Having considered that, I realized that the castration a Eunuch undergoes is one of the highest forms of subjugation of a human. The removal of the male gonads prevents rebellious tendencies as natural testosterone is no longer produced in the body. Inhuman as it was, God still blessed the four and through them shaped the events of history.
