Liver Lover

Did you know that the liver is one the largest and most important organs of your body? Without it you cannot digest food and absorb nutrients, get rid of toxic substances from your body or stay alive. Whatever you eat, drink, breathe and absorb through your skin (yikes, what about all those beauty creams that we slather on our skin) eventually reaches the liver.

Can you imagine all those oily, quivering pork fat and all the other high toxicity foods our livers process not just in small portions but in supersize- it, go-big proportions each meal, three times or more a day? I've read that the liver is very resilient in the face of liver problems and it can even regenerate lost cells in a few weeks. But that doesn't mean we can abuse this wonderful organ that does so much to cleanse our system because it isn't indestructible.

Some of the well-known liver ailments are fatty liver which comes from excessive alcohol consumption. This can lead later on to alcoholic hepatitis like Hepatitis A,B and C. Worse, it could lead to something irreversible like cirrhosis of the liver. Wouldn't it be logical to think that we need a regular liver cleanse and give our liver a little more TLC?  Think about it.  Be a Liver Lover.
