Surprise Reunion

We went to the wake of dh's uncle the other night at the Funeraria Paz. His uncle was old and had been on dialysis for some time. At the wake I got to meet dh's cousins (children of his uncle) and relatives whom he hasn't seen in a long while. His cousins are all well-educated and successful in their chosen careers. Looking at them, I think education is one of the best life insurance packages his uncle provided for his children because it's something that outlived him and whose benefits affect even generations after them. Too bad dh gets to see his relatives only during wakes or funerals.
